You feel as if you're in Greece. Service was pretty slow but the overall experience was nice. Food was good but it would be nice if they gave free pita bread.

Every time I go to this restaurant, the food never lets me down. Their food is always fresh, flavorful, and with exceptional customer service. I've had their tacos before as well as meaty dishes that fall off the bone. Always a pleasure going to this place.

Amylos was great! Astoria has so much Greek food it's hard to choose, but Amylos is a solid choice. The branzino is amazing. My friends got cocktails and loved them. Service was amazing, our waiter was awesome. We sat outside which was nice (a little noisy) but inside looks very cosy. Good place for a date night or girls night.

Dark lit dining area with a warm glow sets the mood for eating in Amylos. Maybe it could be romantic, but the liveliness of the patrons gives it more of a family feel. Trendy and comforting at the same time, what stood out the most in this Greek Taverna? - Moussaka: traditional of the Greek style, it was smooth and creamy, baked with eggplants, melting in your mouth, teeth optional. - Squid inked Pasta: Can I really taste the squid ink? I couldn't, but the black pasta was a novelty. A good pasta dish if you are looking for less creamy taste. - Grill Fish: I got the Porgy, and it was fresh. Grilled fish had an option of with or without bone. They pride themselves in fish, and the flakey texture did not disappoint. The food itself was fine, but was stood out the most was the service. Our waiter was Panos, and he was the most courteous and knowledgeable server I ever had in a while. He made me felt welcomed, informed, and full. I wouldn't be surprised if he was one of the owners of Amylos. If more people were like Amylos, maybe the world won't need to move towards the self-service model.

Great meal. Great value with the Prix fixe lunch menu. Multiple choices. All great. We had the lamb with orzo. The moussaka was good. Branzini looked great. The spanakopita was great. The pita (bread) basket for the table was really delicious. We had 2! I was there with my college friends. We all enjoyed every bite. Our server,Panos, was really great. The hostess was really helpful too. Looking forward to visiting again! Carolyn H.

What a delicious meal, very filling too! Started off with the mussels and pita with spreads - favorite was the spicy feta one. The salmon tartare was my favorite - so refreshing! Then ordered the grilled platter with chicken, sausage, beef - said it was for two people only but us four couldn't even finish it. The drinks were yummy and presented so nicely, enjoyed the butterfly effect very much. Our server was very attentive and friendly, only thing is when another table was seating they chose the table next to us with our stroller. When there were so many other tables available, we had to maneuver the stroller , felt bad cause there wasn't much room for the other guests - looked very tight.

My friends and I went to Amylos on a Thursday night in May, apparently it was Greek night! Then restaurant had live music and people were dancing as they drank and ate. It was a surprise because none of us knew it was Greek night. I highly recommend it if you want to listen to music and enjoy the folks having a good time. If you are trying to have a quiet dinner I would skip it. This was our second time having dinner there as a group. They give you seasoned grilled pita bread at the table. Don't fill up on it because you won't get to your main course! I recommend the three spreads to start with the grilled pita bread and their grilled Octupus. I had their halibut and my friends had the short rib rigatoni, beef skewers and Greek salad. All the dishes did not disappoint. They also have a great drink menu. My friends thoroughly enjoyed the Super Paradise Mule. It's a mix of passion fruit, pear vodka, elderflower and spices. I had a glass of wine from their wine menu. They have a list of Greek wines worth trying. The service was exceptional both times we went. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the maitre d to the bartender and finally to our extremely attentive server. The restaurant was very busy but we never felt like we were unattended to. I highly recommend if you are in queens looking for a spot to enjoy fresh Mediterranean food, great drinks, food and live Greek music !

The family and I decided to try this place for Mother's Day with no reservations. Luckily we were seated within 5 minutes ! Had a chance to order the roasted chicken, side of Mac and cheese, Salmon, and Greek burger. The roasted chicken was to die for !! It was a large portion, I managed to take half home. Had it for lunch the next day and it was oh so delicious! The salmon and Greek burger were also good. It was neatly presented. Our server was polite and seemed kind of busy but still checked on us when possible. Food also came out in a reasonable time. The ambiance was chill and everyone seemed they were celebrating Mother's Day as well. Had a great time and will be coming back and definitely ordering the roasted chicken again def recommend!
